I have a new goal in life, or at least on my off-time:  resurrect the Chainmail Medieval Combat Ruleset.  The ruleset has not been updated since 2002, and what's worse is that there isn't even an online release for it anymore.  I am using the stats and figures from the 4th Edition line of Dungeons & Dragons, and the good folks at Wizards of the Coast have been promising to restart the figure line.  However, it is incumbent on me to finish updating the actual rules.  As a kid, I watched the neighbor boys play D&D and paint figurines, and at the time it all seemed so slow.  Now, I understand that what I saw as slow was actually methodical.
